Who we are

Evergreens Ladies Hockey Club is a friendly, inclusive and ambitious hockey club based in Dereham, Norfolk. We welcome ladies and teenagers of all backgrounds and abilities, whether you’re picking up a hockey stick for the very first time, or returning to the game after several years.

Our club is built on teamwork, respect, sportsmanship and a shared passion for hockey. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the sport in a supportive and encouraging environment while making lasting friendships both on and off the pitch.

Our History

Evergreens has been at the heart of the local sporting community for generations, offering women the opportunity to enjoy both competitive and social hockey in Norfolk. Originally founded as Fakenham Evergreens, the club was established in Fakenham, Norfolk, with records dating back to 1945. Throughout its long history, Evergreens has remained a true community club, bringing together players of all ages and welcoming multiple generations of families to the sport.

Training

Our regular training sessions run fortnightly on a Monday evening 7.15 - 8.30pm at Dereham hockey club.

We also run pre-season sessions during the Summer months.

Match days

Evergreens will play in the East Womens Division 4 North East (North) league for the upcoming 26/27 season.

Home games are played at 10am on a Saturday at Dereham hockey club.
